ZAZZU

It's a big training day for all eligible K9 trainees when they move from shallow water to immersion training.

After familiarization exercises in rivers, streams, and shallow pools, the K9 units are moved to indoor TZK9 deep pool facilities and don their lifejackets. It's important that trainers avoid causing anxiety or traumatic reactions while the animals take to the water and make their first swim.

In We Go!
An access ramp allows slow, steady entry into the water. Properly trained animals can also be introduced to their first swim with a jump maneuver or a lift action. The trainer maintains a strong voice command connection and utilizes the dogs training rewards to reinforce a positive experience. Go Teame!
