A TZA detachment was tasked with locating and entering the compartment of a sunken Cessna 310 airplane in approx. 45ft of water and securing a geocache hidden inside the cockpit.

The Live Dive was a two day, four dive training exercise focused on building team cohesion, compass navigation, autonomic containment and dive emergency response development among aquanauts. TZ Aquanatics members located the plane wreck, secured the materials inside the geocache and deployed an Experimental Sample Tray (EST).

Team cohesion, compass navigation, autonomic containment and dive emergency response development
Increased winds and thunderstorms during the second day of diving, as well as the prior day of diving disturbing debris, caused significant changes in subsurface conditions. Along with new proximity guidelines, new equipment was added following the after action review of this dive, including adding a reel and emergency flotation buoy to the TZA standard issue equipment.
