Silent Maneuvers and sudden contact procedures are an essential Mountain Division skill. TZMD members practiced ingress and egress maneuvers in wet, silent, and hot environments.

With trained K9 units, TZMD moved swiftly through the mosquito-infested terrain. Safe movements were combined with a rapid tempo to simulate real-world problems.

Teame members utilized training and teamwork skills to plan and execute live-fire drills while adapting to exigent circumstances, maintaining cover and concealment, and executing positive K9 handling techniques. Target scores were achieved and marked for objective completion and advancement to each station. An after-action review was completed and forewarded to participants. Go Teame!

SURVIVE THIS: Air Medical Survival Challenge

Together with multiple state and private agencies, Teame Zazzu conducted a wilderness hard landing survival scenario involving air medical helicopters dispatched to a scene flight in Tooele County for a dirt bike accident. As the flight center worked on GPS coordinates the the pilot announces engine fire in flight. As the helicopters turn on final approach to LZ the pilot announces to crew to expect a hard landing with limited power. TZ forces deploy by air and ground serving as training guides, rescue operations support, and drone reconnaissance units to find the downed aircrews, fix their position, and document their survival until the search and rescue operations are finished.

A shack in the center of the summit ridge marks the objective, and features a view of of the entire valley below. Mountain Division members descend back along the rugged peak trail, or slide 1300 feet down the glacier to Emerald lake.
